VE Commodore Cold Air Intake

VE Commodore Cold Air Intake

There are many different cold air intake options available for your VE. Available are over the top air intakes, to the side, and other configurations. A cold air intake will basically increase the amounts of cold air being brought into the system and will reduce temperatures whilst cruising, or at full throttle.

The best intakes to look for to get for your VE Commodore are ones that not only reduce the temperature at speed, but ones that will also help to reduce temperatures whilst slow moving, eg. when you're in traffic. You will want to go after a system that is also durable and insulated against heat and excessive noise.

If you're after a stock looking engine bay, there are also cold air intakes for the VE that have been designed to look like they are a part of the stock Commodore engine bay.

Buying a Cold Air Intake
You should be able to source a cold air intake kit for around $500-$800 depending on the kit. If you're unsure of how to install these kits, many workshops will provide a kit, fit it, and also dyno test the kit for maximum power. If you're wanting to go down that route, most workshops will charge a few hundred dollars on top.
