VE Commodore Flat Battery

In 2007 it was reported that at least a handful of VE Commodores were having issues with flat batteries. The issue apparently affected vehicles ranging from the Omega to the top of the line HSV Grange.

The flat battery would occur after a vehicle was left for over a day without being started, unlocked, or driven. If the vehicle was left in this state, it is believed that one of the components would drain the full battery charge, leaving you with a flat battery the next time you went to start it up.

If this problem happens with you, the only way to solve it is to jump start your car, or in an extreme situation you can always change out the battery for a new one.

VE Commodore Battery Problems

As of September 2007, Holden have solved this problem and invite anyone with this issue to take their car down to their dealer who will solve it for you. If your car has been in for a service since then, it is likely your dealer will have already resolved the battery problems for you.
